The 23rd International Symposium on Geo-Disaster Reduction (ISGdR 2025) was successfully held in Yibin, Sichuan, China from 23–26 August 2025. Organized by the International Consortium on Geo-disaster Reduction (ICGdR) in collaboration with Southwest Jiaotong University and the UNESCO Chair on Geoenvironmental Disaster Reduction, the event brought together researchers, engineers and professionals from around the world. Participants exchanged knowledge and insights on earthquake-induced hazards, climate-related disasters, human-triggered risks and innovative approaches to disaster mitigation and resilience.
